Before travelling overseas it is important to be aware of any health risks and to check whether any travel vaccinations are recommended for your destinations. Remember that you should always discuss your particular need with one of our trained Practice Nurses.
The following travel vaccinations are usually available free on the NHS, and subject to availability:
- diphtheria, polio and tetanus (combined booster)
- hepatitis A – including when combined with typhoid or hepatitis B
These vaccines are usually free because they protect against diseases thought to represent the greatest risk to public health if they were brought into the country.
Please book your travel consultation at least eight weeks before departure to allow sufficient time for vaccination and protection to develop. Please note that if we are busy or unable to offer you an appointment within the time frame you require our receptionists will direct you to alternative service providers who may charge a fee.
We are a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
