We Would Like To Thank Our Patients

We would like to thank our patients for embracing the necessary changes we had to make at the end of March regarding patient appointments and we write now to update you further as the Coronvirus Pandemic sees restrictions lifted and we review access to our facilities. We will be reopening the following sites with safety measures in place:

Rothschild House hasr eopened to patients who have a prebooked appointment ONLY. Our dispensary will continue to operate using the intercom at the staff entrance on the side of the building.

Little Rothschild in Pitstone and the inhouse Dispensary will reopen on Monday 3rd August to patients who have a prebooked appointment or need to collect medication. Access through the building will be one way only.

The New Surgery in Tring will also reopen on Monday 3rd August to patients with prebooked appointments ONLY. Access through the building will be one way only.

Plans are in place to reopen Markyate and Berkhamsted, however, at this time, and to continue to best protect staff and patients thesites need to remain restricted access only. Patients that are invited to appointments are requested to use the intercoms when they arrive for their appointments. Patients wishing to contact the dispensary at Markyate please knock on the back door where staff will be able to help.

Pitstone patients will be able to order and collect medication as before from this site as well as at Tring and Markyate. From August 3rd we will be reducing the prescription delivery service and will only be delivering to our dispensing patients over the age of 70 and our housebound patients (who wish us to do so). Please see the pinned post on Facebook for information regarding specific delivery days for August.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Claire Wainwright and all the many volunteers who have assisted with additional delivery of patient medication throughout lockdown. An amazing effort, thank you so much.

We recognise that many of our patients have hadand continue to have health issues and we are keen for these not to be forgotten. If you feel unwell or experience any change in your health please DO CONTACT US.

We are able to arrange a phone or video call with a GP and if after speaking with you the doctor feels you need to be seen you will be invited to attend a face to face appointment. Please DO NOT attend the surgery in person unless invited to do so by your doctor or another member of the staff.

For patients attending the surgery for an appointment please be aware that as well as one way systems that will be in place you are now required to bring your own face covering or mask to wear whilst inside the building.

Hand Sanitiser will be available at various points throughout the surgery but unfortunately toilet facilities will remain closed.

Finally, please do arrive on time for your appointment but please do not arrive too early to allow us to ensure we can maintain the necessary social distancing requirements.

We understand that at times access to the surgery by phone can result in longer wait times and would direct those with a nonurgent needs to contact us through the surgery website www.rothschildhousesurgery.co.uk. Patients needing to reorder repeat medications can do so by enrolling for online access on the surgery website or via the NHS App.
