Earlier this week we announced that we have been awarded the contract to provide GP Services at the The New Surgery, Tring effective from 1st October 2017.
Further to feedback from patients of both Rothschild House Surgery and The New Surgery we would like to address and provide detail on a number of questions that have been raised.
As we have already stressed for patients of Rothschild the services provided will not change. The GPs will not change and the number of appointments will stay the same. We would like to reassure patients at The New Surgery that there will be no change to the services on offer or number of appointments available to patients there.
We will, over the coming months be making changes at The New Surgery, the biggest of which will be switching over the clinical system from SystmOne to EMIS. We will be able to update patients of The New Surgery further after October 1st. We are currently working with The New Surgery to ensure a smooth transition of services, including flu clinics and will keep patients informed via the respective websites, calling screens at the practices and the Patient Participation Group.
Patients of both surgeries have asked about the process with respect to collecting prescriptions. At present there will be no changes to the methods currently in place for either site. Please continue to place requests for prescriptions in the usual manner and collect from your usual surgery. Patients of Rothschild House will not be able to attend The New Surgery to collect prescriptions or medication.
